Assembler - 1st Shift

About the Role

Responsible for fitting sheet metal parts to assemblies using fixtures, scribing, and grinding to meet specifications. Operates resistance spot welders for pre-assembly before oven brazing, and utilizes hand and power tools such as hammers, dies, pliers, snips, and grinders to ensure parts conform to customer requirements. Completes necessary paperwork and checklists, emphasizing safety and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fit sheet metal parts to assemblies using fixtures, scribing, and grinding.
• Operate resistance spot welders for pre-assembly before oven brazing.
• Use hand and power tools (hammers, dies, pliers, snips, grinders) to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Complete paperwork and checklists with a focus on safety and quality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of sheet metal fabrication preferred.
• Experience with brazing, resistance welding, or fusion welding is a plus.
• Ability to work in small teams to achieve manufacturing goals.
• Proficient in reading instructions, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt.
• Ability to comply with attendance standards.

Schedule

1st shift, with every other Friday off.
