Duties and/or Responsibilities
- Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
- Safely and properly perform maintenance and start up of Blacktop Plant
- Monitor blacktop production
- Verify blacktop meets specifications
- Monitor oil consumption of blacktop plant
- Complete daily progress reports
- Shovel excess material away from plant
- Fill silo
- Tear down and set up Blacktop Plant
- Calibrate Blacktop Plant
- Absorb and communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written)
- Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills; able to maintain positive customer relations & act courteous/respectful of others
- Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.)
- Monitor and discuss production problems with co-workers and managers/supervisor
- Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance
- Good housekeeping skills
- Lockout/Tagout
Minimum Requirements
- General education, grammar and arithmetic
- GED or high school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical & electrical experience
- Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record
