About the role

Working with government agencies, private contractors, counties and municipalities, APAC-AL, Inc. produces millions of tons of quality construction materials and paves many miles of highways every year. The role involves performing a wide range of general laboring duties on a road construction project or on a production crew.

Responsibilities

• Shoveling, raking, traffic control, moving materials, setting forms, strips and cleans concrete forms
• Pours concrete, shovels, vibrates
• Maintains good housekeeping and safety regulations

Requirements

• Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 30 pounds
• Walk, stoop, squat, sit, kneel and pass required physical examination
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses, basic mathematical and measurement skills (adding, subtracting, division, & multiplication)
• Prior construction experience preferred
• Maintain reliable attendance, meet company standards, and maintain a positive attitude

Qualifications

Experience working around Asphalt and equipment operating skills would be beneficial.

Skills

Basic knowledge of tools and their uses, basic mathematical and measurement skills, prior construction experience, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, physical fitness for manual labor, and adherence to safety regulations.
