Asphalt Equipment Technician

Location: Wilkes‑Barre, PA. Work location: In person.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and overhaul asphalt equipment such as pavers, rollers, milling machines, etc.
• Test equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers’ specifications.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all asphalt equipment.
• Weld or fabricate broken parts for repair, improvements, or upgrades.
• Communicate repairs progress to direct supervisors.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Willingness to travel as dictated by customer needs.

Requirements

• Driver’s License (Required)
• Willingness to travel: 75% (Required)

Skills

• Working knowledge of asphalt specific equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
• Ability to read and comprehend diagnostic service information.
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare routine paperwork.
• Ability to understand directions and follow standard operating procedures.
• Familiar with OSHA standards.

Pay

Salary: $30‑$40 per hour.
