ASL Interpreter Consultant

About the role

Provide in person interpreting for families, facilitate communication between parents/caregivers and early intervention staff, schedule visits for early intervention staff, and provide interpreting services for early intervention visits including intake, evaluation and home visits.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person interpreting for families
• Facilitate communication between parents/caregivers and early intervention staff.
• Schedule visits for early intervention staff
• Provide interpreting services for early intervention visits including intake, evaluation and home visits.

Qualifications

• Verbal fluency in both English and language of specific population served.
• Interpreting experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for in person interpreting services
• Understanding of interpreter role in encouraging and fostering direct communication between provider and parent/caregiver.

Pay

$25-30 per hour
