ASC Cath Lab RT (PRN)
About the role
As an ASC Cath Lab RT, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality cardiovascular care by assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Institute of the South (CIS) Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Working under the direct supervision of the physician, you will perform routine to complex radiologic and cardiovascular procedures that support accurate diagnosis and effective treatment for outpatient patients.
In this fast-paced, team-oriented environment, you'll utilize advanced imaging technology, maintain the highest standards of patient safety and radiation protection, and contribute to exceptional clinical outcomes through technical expertise, precision, and compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care by assisting physicians during complex cardiovascular procedures.
- Maintain the highest standards of sterile technique, radiation safety, and quality patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient hemodynamics and recognize changes requiring immediate clinical intervention.
- Support operational excellence through equipment maintenance, accurate documentation, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Continuously expand your expertise by mastering advanced cardiovascular technologies and mentoring fellow team members.
Requirements
- RCIS preferred
- ARRT required
- Licensed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners in Radiologic Technology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
- 2 years Cath lab experience required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
- Current registration as a Registered Cardiographic Technologist (RCIS)
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
