Asbestos Paralegal
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Asbestos Paralegal to join our Midtown Manhattan office. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of prior Asbestos Litigation experience, though an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal will also be considered. This position is full-time and will be based in the office 5 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of legal documents, such as complaints, service lists, motions, and discovery requests/responses related to asbestos cases
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents and evidence are properly indexed and accessible in Smart Advocate
- Monitor the docket and ensure all filing deadlines are met
- Interact with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and assist in answering their questions and concerns
- Conduct legal research to support attorneys in asbestos-related personal injury cases, including gathering information on asbestos-containing products, exposure sources, and relevant laws and regulations
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence related to asbestos cases
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Personal Injury paralegal
- Proficiency with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Nice to Have: 1+ year of experience as an Asbestos Litigation Paralegal
- Nice to Have: 1+ year of experience using Smart Advocate

Pay
Salary Range: $24-$34 per hour. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
Schedule
Full-time, In-person, 5 days per week in our Midtown Manhattan office.
