AS400 /IBM i Infrastructure Analyst

We are seeking an experienced AS400 / IBM i Infrastructure Analyst to join our infrastructure operations team in the Phoenix, Arizona area. This full-time, on-site role supports enterprise IBM Power Systems environments responsible for critical business applications.

• 60% IBM i / AS400 Administration
• 20% High Availability & Disaster Recovery

Responsibilities

• Administer and support IBM i infrastructure platforms
• Monitor performance and system health
• Implement upgrades, patches, and system changes
• Manage user access and security controls
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
• Automate operational tasks where appropriate
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Partner with multiple infrastructure and application teams

Daily Responsibilities:

• 70% Hands-on infrastructure support
• 10% Planning & documentation
• 20% Team collaboration and project work

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of IBM i / AS400 administration experience
• Experience supporting IBM Power Systems environments
• Strong knowledge of IBM i operating system administration
• Experience with PTF implementation and OS upgrades
• Backup and recovery administration experience
• Performance monitoring and capacity planning experience
• Understanding of IBM i security administration
• Experience supporting production environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills

• RPG development or support experience
