Arts & Enrichment Instructor I - II

About the role

The Arts & Enrichment Instructor teaches arts and enrichment classes for all ages in both group and individual settings. This position also teaches specialized arts, enrichment classes, birthday parties and special events offsite.

Responsibilities

• Teach arts and enrichment classes for all ages in both group and individual settings.
• Teach specialized arts, enrichment classes, birthday parties and special events offsite.
• Develop and maintain a positive work relationship with program participants, parents of children, and staff.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents of children, and staff.
• Supervise children in a variety of situations.
• Provide a safe learning environment.

Requirements

• Prior experience teaching art and/or enrichment is highly preferred.
• Current AED/CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least one (1) year of teaching experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain one within thirty (30) days of employment.
• Must be insurable by the District carrier at the onset and for the duration of employment.

Qualifications

• Arts & Enrichment Instructor I - $17.05 - $21.70 per hour: Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least one (1) year of teaching experience.
• Arts & Enrichment Instructor II - $17.85 - $22.75 per hour: Must be at least eighteen (18) years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have at least three (3) years of teaching experience.

• Knowledge of child care programming; recreation and its application; safety and emergency first-aid procedures; program management; and customer service principles.

Pay
