Art Supervisor

About the role

The Art Supervisor (AS) is an active contributor to the creative team, taking full responsibility for concept and art/design development across various projects ranging in complexity and scope. The AS serves as a direct liaison between creative and junior/mid-level account team members, ensuring strategic and creative expectations are met. The role requires a solid understanding of FDA regulations and pharmaceutical promotion requirements across all communication channels, as well as intimate knowledge of marketing and advertising principles to ensure work achieves its full potential while adhering to brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and elevate art/design across the team, adding value wherever possible.
• Provide constructive feedback to junior-level creatives to advance both copy and art.
• Develop strong conceptual skills to bring a wide range of creative solutions to projects.
• Lead art direction across projects of varying scope, complexity, and channels to create a cohesive brand experience.
• Execute design work across digital and print formats using Figma and Adobe InDesign.
• Estimate individual hours (for oneself and direct reports) for a variety of projects.
• Use advanced design principles to distill complex scientific information into compelling, clear data visualizations.
• Apply mastery of file-building, management best practices, and The One Intouch Process.
• Monitor workload of direct reports to ensure quality and timelines are met.
• Apply knowledge of accessibility best practices to all work.
• Mentor and grow junior team members, elevating their designs and expanding their industry knowledge.
• Develop a growing knowledge of clients’ businesses and the impact of your work.
• Proactively collaborate with planning, UX, and development teams to ensure alignment.
• Build strong relationships with creative, account management, product management, production, studio, and cross-functional teams.
• Confidently present and help sell ideas to clients.
• Contribute to new business efforts.
• Develop multichannel creative that displays strong conceptual thinking, strategic/business acumen, and finely crafted designs.
• Leverage emerging AI tools to support and elevate creative work.
• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development and inclusive behaviors.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in a relevant role.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe InDesign.
• Experience with launches, label updates, and other industry-specific projects.
• Ability to use advanced design principles to create clear data visualizations from complex scientific information.
• Mastery of file-building, management best practices, and The One Intouch Process.
• Understanding of utilization targets and commitment to meeting them for yourself and direct reports.
• Knowledge of accessibility best practices.

Pay

If this job posting includes a base salary range, it represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position within the U.S. Compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and location to account for comparative cost of living. This role is eligible for hire in select U.S. locations based on business and operational considerations.
