Art Resource Planner
About the role
The position's primary function is to schedule Retail art jobs to both internal Artists and Sourcing Art Companies. The Art Resource Planner will run and monitor reports (both internal and received from factories and RFNP requests), receive, send, and create spreadsheets to ensure orders are started on time and completed in a timely manner. They will work to ensure on-time completion of all orders to meet provided deadlines, monitor order changes, and expedite orders as needed. The Art Resource Planner will meet with the Retail Art Team to discuss plans, workflows, and issues, and react to art changes for completed and incomplete artwork to ensure accurate requests are fulfilled.
The Art Resource Planner is responsible for bulk types being printed at ProAd for GDC order volume, as well as Offshore and Turn Key production facilities. They will also support and help with overflow work for other Art Resource Planners during large workloads, vacations, or rush needs. Additionally, the role ensures consistent standards for color, decoration location, and application are maintained throughout the art creation process by keeping reference materials.

Responsibilities
- Monitor orders entered by the Retail Services Team and work with order entry for needed corrections.
- Use spreadsheets to start on art before designs are entered, pre-building designs to meet tight customer and factory deadlines.
- Use the Art-To-Do Report (KERP) to schedule art to internal and external artists.
- Update and review the KA Workflow tracker.
- Assign art to artists (internally or externally) based on priority levels from the factory and/or Sourcing Department.
- Prioritize orders/art in proofing with internal or external artists.
- Monitor department capacity to ensure on-time art completion, printing, planning, and delivery through Art Production and Art/Licensing Approval stages.
- Provide input for daily, weekly, and monthly art production goals.
- Assist Lead and Manager by providing accurate reporting numbers and implement strategies to meet or exceed Art Production Department goals.
- Schedule completion of all quick-turn RFNP requests.
- Serve as the point of contact for factory tear-down issues.
- Assist Art Support Lead and other Art Resource Planners as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Related experience in scheduling or planning.
- Intermediate skills with Macintosh computers.
- Strong knowledge of Excel for creating, organizing, and managing spreadsheets.
- Understanding and knowledge of art department workflow (a plus).
