About the Role
Germanna Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. As a comprehensive community college, Germanna provides quality, accessible, and affordable educational opportunities for the residents of the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Caroline, Culpeper, King George, Madison, Orange, Spotsylvania and Stafford. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Effectively plan and teach courses in a classroom environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned
- May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Art History OR Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in Art History
- Ability to teach in person and online
Additional Qualifications
- Two years of teaching experience preferred
Pay
$836–$1,737 per credit hour. Final salary determination and placement within this range are based on the candidate's academic credentials and occupational experience as evaluated via the VCCS-10 process.
Work Schedule
As scheduled. Teaching load is based upon student enrollment and staffing needs. May be required to go to all campus locations.
