Art Framing Manager

About the Role

Lead and coach a team of framers who focus on building customer relationships while creating custom framing solutions. Drive custom framing sales and assist customers in designing memorable framing solutions for their art.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards; hold the team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Develop and coach the team on selling behaviors.
• Lead the delivery of high-quality custom framing solutions on time by planning workload in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Achieve personal KPIs and manage the framing team to achieve their role KPIs.
• Review sales and production workload; build plans and allocate sales floor time for networking.
• Manage and execute inventory management processes as assigned.
• Oversee shrink and safety programs.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD).
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, coaching, observing, and training new team members; support talent development and performance management activities.
• Partner with MODs daily on framing expectations and team performance.
• Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner; remain positive in difficult situations and promote the organization’s vision and values.
• Participate in truck unloading and stocking processes to ensure standards are met.
• Follow SOPs and Company programs to maintain a safe environment.
• Acknowledge customers, assist in locating products, and provide solutions.
• Support Omni channel processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Previous custom framing experience is preferred.
• Retail management experience.
• Experience leading a sales team.

Physical Requirements

• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to move throughout the store.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Lifting heavy boxes and frames; accessing high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.

Work Environment

Public retail store setting with climate-controlled public areas; some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled. Work may involve outdoor tasks such as retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains equipment like a glass cutter and heat press. Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
