About the role
SixSpeed is seeking an Art Director with 2-5 years of experience to lead the visual identity and creative direction for brand communications.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the visual look of a project or campaign ensuring consistency, distinction, appropriateness, engagement, and clarity of communication.
- Collaborate with copywriters to generate a volume of ideas and concepts.
- Lead the collaborative visual development of projects and campaigns by guiding teams, producers, and partners with a clear direction from start to finish.
- Concept and execute across all mediums with attention to detail and visual precision.
- Maintain awareness of trends in culture and industry, producing new thinking and identifying opportunities for clients and the agency.
- Develop shot lists, treatments, and visions for capture and present these to clients and partners.
- Travel to direct photo and video shoots to ensure the vision is met and the shot list is captured.
- Select and direct the retouching of image assets post-capture, presenting for approval with clients.
- Research and understand client needs, brand, products, audience, and competition.
- Find, recommend, and select vendor partners such as photographers, retouchers, video production houses, editors, sound mixers, illustrators, etc.
- Build positive working relationships with all team members, vendors, and clients.
- Provide clear, timely, and helpful feedback with partners to improve creative output and processes, keeping work on budget and schedule.
- Articulate vision, ideas, and concepts to peers and clients, listening and reacting to feedback appropriately.
Requirements
- A visual creative with 2-5 years of experience in brand advertising or marketing.
- Passionate about powersports and adventure.
- Owner of a strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to craft and build creative campaigns driven by audience insights.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (primarily: Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; secondarily: Lightroom, Bridge, and Premiere).
- A critical thinker, detail-oriented, passionate, motivated, ambitious, and resourceful professional.
- Organized, open-minded, and capable of delivering tangible results in a fast-paced and creative environment.
- Positive, empathetic, collaborative, and trustworthy.
- Knowledgeable of photography and video production, with a strong sense of typography, color theory, composition, print, broadcast, and digital communications.
- Able to stay on top of current trends, industry knowledge, and develop new skills.
- Confident in providing direction to partners and teams.
- Experience delivering work for multiple project teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Able to take and incorporate feedback constructively.
- Willing and eager to prioritize diversity and inclusion, especially when working with external and internal partners.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in brand advertising or marketing.
Skills
- Adobe Creative Suite proficiency (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Bridge, Premiere).
- Strong portfolio showcasing creative campaigns driven by audience insights.
- Ability to think critically and detail-oriented.

Benefits
Salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per year. Final offer will be determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
