ARNP Mental Health \ Psychiatric IP (Wknd) (NE)
Position Summary
The inpatient psychiatric ARNP is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and directing treatment for adult patients with psychiatric disorders admitted to acute inpatient level of care. Responsibilities include conducting suicide and violence risk assessments, formulating and implementing comprehensive and evidence-based treatment plans, prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, ordering laboratory tests as indicated, managing acute behavioral emergencies with behavioral and pharmacologic interventions, leading treatment team meetings, coordinating with interdisciplinary team members, consulting with primary care providers and other clinicians, collaborating with social workers and court evaluators, assessing readiness for discharge, and formulating discharge plans. Documentation in the electronic medical record is also required.
Requirements
- A graduate degree from an advanced nursing education program accredited by a national nursing accreditation body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
- An active Washington state RN license, without sanctions or restrictions.
- A State NP license.
- A current CME hours to maintain licensure.
- Adult/Gerontologic Psychiatry and/or Lifespan Certification of Completion from the American Nurse Credentialing Center or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
- Registration capability with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
- A current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $100.00 - $100.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
