About the role
As an Army Reserve Employment Specialist Lead supporting the Private Public Partnership Office (P3O), you will take on a leadership role in guiding a team of employment specialists dedicated to supporting the career development and transition process for Army Reserve soldiers. You will provide mentorship, coordination, and strategic direction to ensure the effective delivery of employment services and maximize the successful transition of soldiers to civilian employment.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and lead progress reviews with the P3O Director or designee to provide updates and recommendations on actions taken to support the P3O mission, strategic goals, and objectives.
- Assist USAR and transitioning Soldiers seeking P3O support services, including civilian career opportunities, resume development/enhancement, application processes, interview assistance, and skills translation from military to civilian careers.
- Conduct briefings related to local and regional opportunities at Transition Points, either in person or virtually.
- Follow up and track Soldiers' progress, assisting them as outlined in performance objectives.
- Document the number and amount of time spent and services rendered with each Soldier, Veteran, and Family member, submitting data in monthly reports.
- Provide readiness support services for eligible USAR Soldiers and dependent Family members at events such as Family outreach, employer outreach and education, networking events, Yellow Ribbon employment support, Warrior Training Unit activities, Post Deployment Health Reassessment Program briefs, Leadership Development and Assessment Course, ROTC outreach, transition assistance outreach, and unit outreach.
- Support Soldiers transitioning from active duty to the civilian workforce by providing resources, information, and guidance to facilitate a smooth transition.
- Participate in ad-hoc meetings held by the P3O Director, either in person, via teleconference, or Teams as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field from a college or university accredited by a national or regional agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team to achieve organizational goals.
- Ability to successfully pass a background investigation.
Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in customer service skills and use of routine office equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and web-based applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and counseling skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to Soldiers navigating the transition from military to civilian employment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and evolving program requirements, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience serving in the Army Reserve or a similar military branch, with a strong understanding of military culture, structure, and operations.
- Relevant certifications.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position is $36.32.
