Armed Security Officer Vehicle Patrol Driver

About the role

As an Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Tillery, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Government. This part-time role involves conducting routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, responding to security-related concerns, and delivering professional service and communication within a government corrections setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to identify and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or prohibited items in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or responding agencies as directed.

Requirements

• At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions).
• Armed guard card or license preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

$21.50 / Hour

• Tuesday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
• Sunday: 05:45 AM - 06:00 PM
