Armed Security Officer Patrol Driver - Part Time

About the role

This is a flexible, dependable part-time enhanced position ideal for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As an Armed Security Officer Patrol Driver in Austin, TX, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the option to pick up additional shifts for extra earnings and experience.

This role requires a six-month commitment to your designated site and weekly shift. You can scale your hours up to 40 per week or adjust as needed, offering both income stability and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points, receiving areas, and employee entrances; verify authorized access and report suspicious activity.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain required documentation, and handle issued equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Pay

$26.50 / hour

Schedule

DayTime Sat 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM (fixed anchor shift)
