Armed Security Officer - Part Time Retail Patrol

About the Role

This is a part-time armed security officer position at a retail grocery location in San Antonio, TX, designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, loading zones, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and applicable laws.
• Maintain professional control and accountability of assigned firearm and equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Document observations, incidents, and actions taken through accurate reports and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.

Requirements

• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour
• Schedule: Daytime, Sunday 04:15 PM – 11:30 PM
