Armed Security Officer - Medical Facility

As an Armed Security Officer – Medical Facility in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. In this unarmed patrol role within a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report unusual conditions or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Possess a Texas Armed Guard Card.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
