About the role
As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Jupiter, FL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving role requires a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and applicable laws.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, restricted-area access, and the reporting of unusual activity.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- CPO certification is required.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years law enforcement, corrections, military and/or degree in criminal justice.
- Armed guard card or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
