About the role

As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government finance office in Bronx, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government finance office by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disputes, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and incident documentation, and maintain professional communication with site personnel, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$33.70 / hour

• Full Time
• Daytime
• Monday – Friday: 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM
