Armed Security Officer Driver
About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will drive throughout assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This role combines customer service, communication, and rapid response while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and communicating with local management and/or public emergency responders when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disorderly conduct while maintaining a professional presence.
- Support retail location operations by following post orders, reporting security-related concerns, and assisting with access control, deliveries, and/or after-hours checks as directed.
Requirements
- Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
