Security Officer Armed Security Patrol Driver

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional armed presence.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry of employees, visitors, and/or contractors in accordance with location procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Qualifications

• Licenses and certifications required: Florida State Security Agency License No. B8500287.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
