About the role
As an Armed Security Patrol Driver in New Port Richey, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This driving position calls for strong communication, sound judgment, and a service-focused approach.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government law-enforcement location by carrying out armed security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and coordinating with appropriate law-enforcement personnel.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as directed, and maintain awareness of visitor, employee, and vehicle activity.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
