Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government corrections location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activity and communicating with site leadership and/or public law enforcement as needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and movement throughout the location, verifying credentials, controlling access, and reporting unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
- Support order at the location by following post orders, observing inmate and/or visitor activity when assigned, and assisting with escorts, inspections, and other security-related duties as directed.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- An armed guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Qualifications
- Licenses and certifications are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
