Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a government location as an armed patrol professional, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining awareness of activity throughout the location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, controlled access points, and perimeter areas, with working conditions that may vary by assignment.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify identification and authorization, and report unusual behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support order within a correctional environment by documenting incidents, following post orders, and helping to deter unauthorized access, contraband activity, and/or disruptive conduct.

Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, and/or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
