As an Armed Security Officer - Access Control Gate in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Security Professional with Allied Universal at a financial institution, you will help support a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, managing visitor and badge processes, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with bank personnel, visitors, and first responders, reporting suspicious activity, access issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Have customer service experience (preferred).
• Have access control or badge experience (preferred).

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour
Position Type: Part Time
Schedule: DayTime Monday 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM, Friday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
