Armed Protective Security Officers (PSO) - Charleston, SC

Minimum Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• A United States citizen; or a Lawful Permanent Resident with an honorable discharge from the US Armed Forces
• Valid Social Security Card
• One year of armed security experience or one year of law enforcement experience in a full-duty status with a full-service police department
• One year of experience as a member of the US Armed Forces with an honorable discharge
• High school diploma or GED
• Fluency in English
• Trainable and proficient in firearms (pistol), OC spray, and expandable baton
• Proficient in CPR and First Aid

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledgeable and able to use magnetometer and X-ray machines
• Effective use of communication devices like two-way radios
• Excellent listening and service skills
• Ability to provide detailed reports on daily activities and incidents
• Ability to perform CPR or first aid in emergencies
• Ability to maintain credentials per contract requirements

Physical Demands

• Frequent and prolonged walking, standing, sitting, and stooping
• Ability to remain on post for up to four hours without breaks
• Mental and physical readiness to react quickly to unexpected and dangerous situations
