Area VP of Operations

Tennessee Quality Care is seeking an inspiring and strategic Area Vice President of Operations to lead with purpose, compassion, and operational excellence. Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and evaluate operations to ensure the provision of adequate and appropriate care and services.
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensure all business conduct is above minimum standards required by law and will not condone any activities that achieve results through violation of the law, unethical business, or patient care practices.
• Oversee fiscal planning, budgeting, and management of operations in accordance with fiscal parameters.
• Implement governing body directives and ensure that appropriate service policies are developed and implemented.
• Recruit, employ, and retain qualified personnel to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Establish and maintain effective channels of communication.
• Ensure program personnel have current clinical information and practices, and that a clinical manager is available during all operating hours.
• Direct and monitor organizational performance improvement activities.
• Oversee staff development including orientation, in-service education, continuing education, and evaluation of staff.
• Ensure skilled nursing and other therapeutic services are under the supervision and direction of a physician or a non-phician provider.
• Ensure a clinical manager is available during all operating hours.
• Assure appropriate staff supervision during all operating hours.
• Oversee the development and qualifications for professional services and the assignment of personnel.
• Ensure the accuracy of public information materials and activities.
• Appoint a similarly qualified alternate to be available at all times during operating hours in the absence of the administrator.
• Inform the governing body and staff of current organizational, community, and industry trends.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A licensed physician, a registered nurse, or holds an undergraduate degree. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Master’s Degree in healthcare or related field is preferred.
• At least three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in healthcare management, preferably in home health.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
• Ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with the community.
• Knowledge of corporate business management.
• Strong communication and public relations skills.
