Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include maintaining a safe and secure environment, customer service, general merchandising, loss prevention, front end supervision and operations, and fitting rooms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
• Treat all customers, associates, and leaders with respect
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed
• Manage associates' break schedules, ensure equipment and supplies are properly stocked, and expedite go-backs
• Train and coach associates on cash registers, shortage control policies, and other front-end procedures
• Manage fitting rooms and ensure compliance with Company policy
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the store manager

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to work evenings and weekends

Special Skills

• Physical requirements: ability to stand, walk, and move around the Store, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.; use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies
