Area Supervisor

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of multiple sites.
• Develop operating budgets and control expenses within those budgets.
• Develop safe, positive, and achievement-oriented working environment.
• Respond to the customer’s questions and concerns in a timely manner.
• Monitor ongoing work, identify problems, and find solutions.
• Implement production plans in accordance with approved schedule.
• Implement new policies and procedures to meet site goals.
• Review and approve plans of correction.
• Interview and hire new employees.
• Train employees in their job duties to ensure site’s smooth operation.
• Plan, assign, and direct work to employees.
• Maintain employee attendance records and leave reports.
• Perform uniform distribution for employees.
• Ensure operational excellence through training, coaching, disciplining, and encouragement of team members.
• Develop processes for locations and individual performance evaluation.
• Develop disciplinary and behavioral standards for the employees to maximize work efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or relevant field.
• 2 years of related experience and knowledge of the industry.
• May require a valid driver’s license.
• Strong understanding of asset management principles.
• Ability to manage operatives and sub-contractors.
• Knowledge about maintenance techniques.
• Expertise in various computer programs.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to details.
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
• Interview, hire, plan, assign, and direct work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Frequent sitting and talking or listening.
• Occasional lifting and moving up to 35 pounds.
