Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing a specific area of the store and managing the general operations and supervision of the store. This position requires a deep understanding of customer service, loss prevention, and front-end operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
• Treat all associates and customers with respect and professionalism
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area
• Execute and supervise company operational processes as needed
• Manage the front-end operations, including cash registers, shortage control policies, and other procedures
• Train and coach associates on best practices and policies
• Manage associate schedules and ensure proper supplies and recovery for the front-end area
• Ensure merchandise is merchandised to standard and loss is minimized
• Manage fitting rooms and ensure compliance with company policy
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the store manager

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Fluency in English
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to work evenings and weekends
