Area Supervisor

About the role

Our area supervisors are the heart and soul of Jacent. They act as mentors to merchandisers within their assigned area, providing troubleshooting tactics, training, and ongoing support. They work closely with Territory Managers to support new and current merchandisers, driving volume and sales.

Responsibilities

• Cultivating relationships with in-store management
• Leading the execution of merchandising resets
• Building retail displays
• Merchandising impulse items on clip strips & J-hooks
• Conducting surveys and audits
• Providing training and re-training to new and current merchandisers in assigned area

Requirements

• A self-starter and quick learner who enjoys working both independently and in a team setting, preferably as a lead or supervisor
• Comfortable in changing environments
• Able to meet the physical requirements of the role, including standing and walking 3-8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, crouching, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand movements
• Possesses excellent organizational skills with the ability to schedule time efficiently
• A strong communicator with the ability to build relationships with business partners
• Resides within 20 miles of Kansas City, MO with the ability to travel throughout your territory

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of relevant experience in retail or a related field. Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
