Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor is a member of the Store Leadership who is responsible for a specific, assigned area of the Store as well as the general operations and supervision of the Store when functioning as the Manager on Duty. Key responsibilities include maintaining safe and secure environments, customer service, general merchandising, loss prevention, front end supervision and operations, and fitting rooms.

Responsibilities

• Maintains Safe & Secure Environments
• Treats all Customers, Associates, and other leaders with respect
• Ensures proper merchandise presentation, and maintains a clean work area at all times
• Executes and supervises Company operational processes as needed
• Manages work processes, aligns and prioritizes, builds talent, collaborates, leads by example, communicates effectively, ensures accountability and execution
• Ensures associates execute to company standards at the front end, trains and coaches associates on cash registers, shortage control policies and other front end procedures
• Executes all company best practices and maximizes productivity by minimizing steps and extra touches when working
• Maintains pace, energy and "presence" at the front end, manages the line to expedite customer wait time
• Ensures associates are executing to company standards at the front end, aisle tables, Men's/Women's 4-way features, and specialty racks
• Maintains work area cleanliness and organization, ensures go-back compliance throughout the day
• Maintains proper supplies and recovery for the front end area, ensures go-backs are expedited, properly scanned, security tagged and ticketed
• Trains and coaches associates on cash registers, shortage control policies and other front end procedures
• Controls retail associates' break schedule for backups, lunches and breaks
• Maintains proper supplies and recovery for the front end area
• Ensures go-backs are expedited, properly scanned, security tagged and ticketed
• Teaches all associates the "Scan and Bag" best practice
• Ensures salability of merchandise on the front end, aisle tables, Men's/Women's 4-way features, and specialty racks
• Maintains work area cleanliness and organization, ensures go-back compliance throughout the day
• Ensures go-backs are expedited, properly scanned, security tagged and ticketed
• Trains and coaches associates on cash registers, shortage control policies and other front end procedures
• Controls retail associates' break schedule for backups, lunches and breaks
