Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role in the store leadership team, overseeing a specific area and managing the general operations and supervision of the store. This position requires a high level of responsibility and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by practicing safe behaviors and immediately correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions or practices.
• Ensure customer safety by preventing accidents, reporting incidents, and following emergency procedures.
• Manage the front-end operations, train associates, and ensure adherence to company best practices.
• Supervise fitting rooms and ensure merchandise returns are handled correctly.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the store manager.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications and Special Skills

• Physical requirements: ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop, push, pull, lift up to 25 lbs., and use janitorial equipment.
• Specific qualifications: ability to push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs. for Stockroom shifts.
