Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing a specific area of the store and managing the general operations and supervision of the store. This position requires a high level of responsibility and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by practicing safe behaviors and immediately correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions or practices.
• Ensure customer safety by preventing accidents, reporting incidents, and following emergency procedures.
• Manage the front-end operations, train associates, and ensure adherence to company best practices.
• Supervise fitting rooms and ensure merchandise returns are handled according to company policy.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the store manager.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

Associates who work stockroom shifts may need to regularly push, pull, and lift more than 20 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, and move around the store for up to 100% of the working time. Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop. Must be able to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs. Must use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
