Area Supervisor

About the role

The Area Supervisor plays a crucial role within the Store Leadership team, overseeing a specific area of the store and managing the general operations and supervision of the store. This position requires a deep understanding of safety protocols, customer service, merchandising, loss prevention, front-end supervision, and fitting room management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by promptly correcting or reporting any unsafe conditions or practices.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Manage customer service, ensuring courteous and professional interactions.
• Support the store's brand and maintain a professional appearance.
• Manage loss prevention efforts and adhere to the Loss Prevention Awareness Program.
• Supervise associates, manage the front-end operations, and train on best practices.
• Maintain fitting rooms and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the store manager.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs.
• Regularly stand, walk, and move around the store.
• Spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
• Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 lbs.
• Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies.
