Area Service Manager

About the role

Develop, implement, and realize the sales/service and business plan for the assigned area/unit within the overall business strategy to achieve commercial and business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct all service, distribution, and shop operations for service locations in the assigned area.
• Confer with customers and industry representatives to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services; make joint calls with sales, field service, and management to promote service at dealers and end-users.
• Develop plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees.
• Review and analyze management reports, including full Profit and Loss responsibility, and take corrective action as necessary.
• Review production costs and product quality; modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitability.
• Travel to customer sites; travel may be extensive.
• Exercise discretion and independent judgment on critical organizational matters.
• Ensure a strong customer service focus is maintained for all client communications and maximize all opportunities.
• Assist in warranty claims issues.
• May have supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a technical school or industry-related experience.
• Minimum of three years in industrial service or a combination of experience and education.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office.
• Basic math skills.
