About the role

The Area Sales Manager will visit customers at their premises to maintain existing accounts and generate new business within the defined sales area.

Responsibilities

• Represents the Dealership in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
• Develop customer relationships to achieve sales targets and grow market share within your sales area.
• Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment and services and attends relevant sales training events.
• Knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
• Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
• Executes goods delivery and follow up, according to the follow up procedure.
• Builds strong and loyal relationships with defined sales area customers.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ equipment sales experience.
• Good knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operational practices.
• Ability to use standard computer applications, CRM systems, internet functions & sales tools.
• Familiar with John Deere and competitive products.
• Ability to analyse and interpret internal reports.
• Excellent customer relationship skills.
• Ability to work extended hours.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to forge professional working relationships with new and existing customers.
• Commercially minded and driven to expand existing business and develop new accounts in your sales area.
