Area Network Owner-BMCT

About the role

Provide online and off‑site support to the BritelinkMCT maintenance department in a technical specialist capacity, driving quality, compliance, and excellence across the region. Supply training and assessments for internal and external technical teams, deliver on‑site learning initiatives, and evaluate technical competencies. Update the skills and training matrix, develop technical resourcing aligned with operational needs, and report on training progress, schedules, skill matrices, and forecasting. Support maintenance teams in resolving difficult tickets, project‑manage network outages to ensure quality, communication, and speed, and conduct network audits and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Supply online & off‑site support to the maintenance department, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Provide training, assessments, and learning initiatives for internal and external technical teams.
• Assess technical competencies and update the skills and training matrix.
• Develop technical resourcing in alignment with operational requirements.
• Report on training progress, schedules, skill matrices, and forecasting.
• Ticket support: assist maintenance teams in resolving difficult tickets.
• Outage support: project‑manage and facilitate network outages to meet standards of excellence.
• Conduct network audits and assessments.

Requirements

• At least 3 years’ experience as a fibre maintenance technician.
• Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
• 1–2 years’ experience with switching and routing.
• 5 years’ experience in telecommunications technology in a technical position.
• FOA optic fibre training.
• Fibre splicing and network testing skills.
• GPON planning and deployment experience.
