Area Manager - Vacation Rental Partnerships
About the Role
Travel Partnerships and Advertising team helps partners—including hotels, vacation rentals, airlines, destination marketing organizations, and more—deliver excellent traveler and B2B experiences. We drive growth for our partners and the Expedia Group marketplace through competitive supply and our leading advertising and travel media network.
The Account Management team for Vacation Rentals works closely with property managers to help them grow bookings, improve conversion, and deliver a great traveler experience. In this role, you will lead a team of account managers, coach high-quality partner consultations, and work across Expedia Group to turn partner insights into better marketplace outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of account managers through regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and ongoing career support
- Enable your team to deliver high-quality partner consultations that use marketplace data and insights to improve booking conversion and grow bookings
- Review monthly and quarterly business plans to help build, retain, and optimize vacation rental supply in targeted markets
- Ensure your team meets or exceeds activity expectations while maintaining a high standard of partner engagement and accountability
- Partner closely with Support, Product, Development, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize issues, resolve partner concerns, and improve the partner experience
- Share partner feedback, product insights, and operational opportunities with senior leadership to help improve tools, reporting, and day-to-day practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience
- 6+ years of experience in customer success, account management, client services, or B2B sales
- 3+ years of experience leading account management or customer success teams supporting e-commerce or B2B products
- Proficiency in English and clear, effective communication with partners, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and Tableau, and ability to use data to identify risks, opportunities, and performance trends
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the vacation rental and hospitality industry
- Experience building strong internal and external relationships and leading continuous improvement across teams
Pay
The total cash range (inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target) for this position in Austin is $137,000.00 to $191,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $219,000.00, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance. Incentive plan performance above target will also earn more than the incentive target compensation amount. Starting pay will vary based on location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
