Area Manager - Skyhawks Sports

Skyhawks Sports is a national youth sports leader providing programs for kids ages 2 to 13, with over 40 years of experience enriching the lives of children through sports and helping them build skills that reach far beyond the playing field. Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow year-round relationships with existing accounts, including school districts, recreation departments, corporate partners, and community organizations.
- Collaborate with partners to plan and execute programming across all three seasons, adapting to the needs of each community.
- Recruit, hire, train, and oversee up to 30+ part-time coaches seasonally, ensuring they embody the Skyhawks mission in every interaction.
- Manage programming, partnerships, and staff on Skyhawks' in-house platform to a high standard of quality and safety.
- Serve as the local face of Skyhawks to families, partners, and the community, handling questions and concerns with care.
- Drive strategic growth to expand our reach through both internal and external sales.
- Work with our existing marketing team and interns to create and distribute program marketing.
- Partner with leadership to set, track, and hit seasonal and annual budgets and goals.
- Order, track, and inventory all sport and safety equipment and manage distribution to coaches across every season.
Requirements
- High motor, with a love for challenges and real resilience.
- A genuine heart for kids, coaches, and community.
- Experienced in management, 2+ years, and in building strong partnerships.
- Skilled at hiring, onboarding, training, and scheduling part-time staff.
- Sales experience, especially with longer sales cycles, is a strong plus.
- An athletic background with experience in at least one Skyhawks sport, with the ability to coach programs weekly as needed.
- A strategic thinker with excellent communication across public speaking, presentation, email, and phone, plus strong customer service and conflict resolution.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and comfortable with technology.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and energized by working independently while staying in close communication with your Owner/Operator.

Pay
$35,000 - $40,000 base salary. Fall performance incentives and 2027 bonuses will be set in place by the end of the year, tied to seasonal and partnership growth. Salary grows as the company grows.
Schedule
Unique and flexible schedule, varying depending on the current season (Winter/Spring, Summer, Fall).
