Area Manager - Raleigh

About the role

Responsibilities

• Manage, staff and schedule a team of Package Handlers and Lead Package Handlers in an assigned area in the facility to ensure quality standards while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
• Maintain an open line of communication to engage employees.
• Record and manage the departures/arrivals of and the flow of volume from designated Linehauls.
• Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.

Requirements

• GED/Diploma required, BA/BS college degree in related discipline preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience – (ex. logistics, shipping, 3PL) with at least 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office and mathematical skills.
• Effective communication skills including the ability to give honest, constructive feedback.
• Experience with hiring, training, motivating, disciplining, and completing performance evaluations for employees.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical work experience that helps you contribute quickly to maintenance, repair, and inspection work.
• Apply knowledge of OSHA requirements in daily work practices.
• Stays dependable and adaptable as business needs, staffing needs, and workload shifts.

Pay

The expected starting base pay range for this position is $51,680 - $64,600, with full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $51,680- $77,520. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Schedule

Shift(s): Thursday through Monday from 2:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. (Schedule subject to change based on the needs of the business).

Washington state employees are eligible for up to 56 hours of paid sick leave annually. The salary range above represents the national range for this position.
