Area Manager

About the role

Supervises and administers the housekeeping program to maintain the hospital environment in a sanitary, attractive, and orderly condition.

Responsibilities

• Establish standards and work procedures for housekeeping staff in accordance with hospital policies
• Plan work schedules and assign staff to ensure adequate coverage across all hospital areas
• Train and supervise housekeeping personnel
• Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the hospital; recommend repairs, equipment relocation, and space adjustments to improve sanitation, appearance, and efficiency
• Identify and report unsafe conditions
• Evaluate and recommend new housekeeping supplies and equipment
• Prepare budgets, reports, and administrative documentation
• Manage inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment; select and requisition replacements as needed

Qualifications

• Schedule: 9:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Days: Friday – Saturday (overnight)
• Status: Part-Time
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field of study preferred
• Experience: 5-7 years of experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers, and 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Licenses and Credentials: Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred
