Area Manager

About the role

Join your locally owned Great Clips® salon organization in a leadership role that blends hands-on salon management with multi-salon oversight. As an Area Manager, you’ll directly manage one salon while also supporting and coaching a team of Salon Managers across a small group of additional locations. This role is ideal for an experienced salon or multi-unit leader who enjoys developing managers, maintaining strong brand standards, and driving consistent performance across teams.

We are looking for an experienced, licensed cosmetologist to oversee three salons in Shorewood, Fond du Lac, and Oshkosh. You must be willing to travel between salons, cut hair as a role model in each of the salons as needed, work directly with the management team, and be able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage one salon’s daily operations
• Support and coach Salon Managers across additional locations
• Cut hair as a role model in each salon when needed
• Identify performance gaps and implement improvement plans
• Maintain strong brand standards across multiple salons
• Travel between salon locations within the surrounding area
• Collaborate with management teams and proactively seek solutions to challenges

Requirements

• Previous salon management experience or multi-unit retail management experience
• Valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
• Flexibility to work across multiple salon locations

Pay

$20 per hour plus performance-based bonuses.
