Area Manager

About the role

Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. As an Area Manager you will lead a team of hourly workforce and be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will also play a key role in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location. The operation’s workflow includes first mile (product housed and ready for order), middle mile (order hauled to your area), and last mile (product delivered to the customer’s door). This position is based in Oklahoma City, OK.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans that meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand or walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work in environments with variable noise levels, temperatures, and weather, including outside loading departments.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Can push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience managing a team of 5+ employees.
• Experience with process improvements.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Pay

Base salary range: $65,200 – $75,000 USD annually. Total compensation may include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs), determined by experience, qualifications, and location.
