Area Manager

Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our team as an Area Manager. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly workforce and engage them during shifts to maintain safety, quality, attendance, and performance while ensuring customer orders are delivered on time.

Our Operations workflow includes three major components: First mile (product storage and order readiness), Middle mile (order transportation to your area), and Last mile (product delivery to the customer’s door). While workflows may vary slightly by building, our commitment to customer satisfaction remains constant. Amazon’s fulfillment network launches new sites annually, offering opportunities for professional growth. Hiring is based on location preference and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery commitments
• Collaborate with support teams (Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources) to develop and execute business plans
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Stand or walk for up to 12 hours per shift
• Work in environments with variable noise levels and temperatures (including outdoor loading areas)
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (where applicable)

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in employee and performance management
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques

Pay

Base salary range: $70,000 – $90,900 USD annually (Omaha, NE). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional compensation may include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
