Area Manager

Job Description

The Area Manager oversees janitorial staff at assigned sites, ensuring customer satisfaction and adhering to budget constraints. Key responsibilities include:

• Select and place janitorial personnel; conduct hiring decisions, performance appraisals, and career development plans.
• Assign duties and tasks, inspect work, and ensure quality service to customers.
• Determine work procedures, prepare schedules, and manage labor costs.
• Train new hires, provide safety and job training, and establish open communication channels.
• Resolve customer complaints and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Monitor accounts for work order opportunities and document customer contacts.
• Support outcomes to meet customer needs by spending time at account locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two (2) years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Two (2) years of management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Business-level oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and active listening abilities.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork, negotiate, and resolve conflicts.
