About the role
The Area Leasing Manager at Brookfield Properties Multifamily serves as the single point of accountability for portfolio leasing performance. This role leads both the centralized Global Prospect Care team and Onsite Leasing/Sales Associates across a portfolio of communities, owning the full lead-to-lease funnel from initial prospect inquiry through signed lease execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and manage a team of Global Prospect Care Associates and Onsite Leasing/Sales Associates supporting multiple communities across the portfolio.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, train, schedule, coach, and develop team members.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career development planning.
- Create staffing plans and schedules that ensure appropriate coverage across all communities and business hours.
- Manage performance accountability, corrective action, and performance improvement plans as needed.
- Foster a culture of sales excellence, customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements

Qualifications
- Undergraduate (Bachelor) Degree in Business, Real Estate, Communication, or related field required.
- 3-4 Years of experience in: Leadership experience managing sales, leasing, or customer-facing teams required.
- Leading staffing, scheduling, hiring, training, and performance management functions required.
- Managing multi-site or centralized operations and performance-driven teams preferred.
- Managing KPIs and operational performance in a high-volume environment preferred.
- Yardi Voyager, RentCafe, CRM platforms, leasing analytics or reporting tools preferred.
- 5-7 Years Of Required Experience In Multifamily leasing, sales, customer experience, or property operations.
- Proven track record of driving sales, leasing, or conversion performance.
- Strong knowledge of multifamily leasing operations and customer acquisition strategies.
- MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

$ 79,700 - 111,510 annually - Chicago
$ 83,900 - 117,495 annually - Washington, DC
